What changes are coming to UK visa rules in 2026?
Starting 25 February 2026, the UK will enforce its Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system for short-term visitors. Travelers from 85 visa-free countries must obtain digital pre-travel permission before entering the UK.
What is the 28 day rule for a UK visa?
You'll need to prove you have extra money for each family member you bring with you. You must have this money for at least 28 days in a row. The end date of the 28-day period must be within 31 days of the date you apply for your visa.
What do you need for a UK visa from South Africa?
Proof of identification such as a passport or other valid form of ID which must have a minimum of one blank page. Two passport-sized photographs. Evidence that you can financially support yourself and any members of your family you may bring with you whilst in the UK. Proof you've paid the visa fees.
What makes an UK visa rejected?
